SENIOR MANAGER R&D – PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT. Responsibilities: Reporting to the Head of Product Development the successful candidate will have responsibility for the following activities within the R&D Product Development group: Lead product development portfolio to ensure characterisation and testing protocols are designed and performed to precise scientific and regulatory criteria. Demonstrate strong leadership credentials. Provide technical expertise, support & troubleshooting, working across technical teams. Preparation and critical review of regulatory documents. Support in the design, planning, scheduling and implementation of work programmes. Structure work to ensure technical goals are achieved and challenges are addressed promptly. Adapt departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. Actively participate within cross functional teams to ensure technical progress and issues are communicated effectively and in a timely fashion. Ensure all work is carried out is in compliance with the required standards and with company, cGMP, cGLP, Health & Safety, environmental guidelines and regulatory requirements. Establishing and maintaining effective interaction with external and internal customers and suppliers (eg, Regulatory Affairs, QC etc.). The successful candidate will be expected to possess the following: Strong, highly motivated and committed individual, with excellent communication skills and high personal work standards. Higher degree; preferably PhD, or MSc in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science or similar. At least 10 year’s relevant experience in a technical leadership role in pharmaceutical or related industry. Excellent troubleshooting skills. Excellent planning and organising skills and be adaptable to changing priorities. Ability to lead and coordinate activities based on a number of sites.
