Senior Automation Engineer. PE Global requires a Senior Automation Engineer for one of our client sites in Waterford. We would have a preference for someone with OSisoft Pi experience but our client would consider an experienced engineer who does not have OSisoft Pi experience. Essential Requirements Significant experience of automation source systems. Understanding of TCP/IP networks and Automation networks (DeviceNet, ControlNet, Modbus, Profibus etc. Understanding of control systems including batch execution systems. Superb analytical and troubleshooting skills with a methodical approach to solving difficult problems. Experience working on Automation integration projects including Engineering, Factory Acceptance Test and Commissioning. Validation documentation lifecycle (cGMP and GAMP. Practical experience of working in teams delivering projects and support. Should be able to work with vendors and contractors during project conception and implementation stages. Manages a small to medium team in the development & implementation of automation solutions; provides coaching, feedback performance assessments and direction as required to align these resources with organizational goals. Strong communication skills, with an emphasis on building collaborative customer relations. Must be able to manage time and people to ensure successful delivery. Works independently with little supervision. Full Clean Driving License for Ireland / Europe. Must be willing to travel internationally for period of up to 6 months. Desirable Microsoft SQL query language. Analysis and development background. Business process and project documentation. VB/VB.net Coding skills. OSisoft Pi system management. Qualifications Degree in Automation or Electrical Engineering. Experience working directly as an Automation Engineer would be preffered.
