Our client, a leading manufacturing company based inWaterford currently has a vacancy for a Packaging Engineer / Technologist . This is an opportunity to join a leading manufacturing company in a challenging and rewarding role with excellent opportunities for personal development. You will take technical ownership of packaging initiatives for new product development programmes and the existing product range. Thisis a contract role. The Role Lead technical and design input on packaging development projects from concept to commercialisation including all specifications. Manage major design specification change to packaging such as a brand redesign/refit. Manage artwork library of leaflets, labels and box layout files: Manage/changeCAD files. Issue revisions to vendors to ensure correct versions are always available. Maintain effective packaging data base for allbrands. Work with sourcing and NPI teams to deliver a product/project to launch in market. Deliver innovative solutions for packaging in a cost effective manner. Ensurepackaging solutions meet full customer / market specifications. Deliver packaging solutions that meet sustainability targets. Approve all packaging from vendors for final sign off before production. The Person 3rd level business qualification and/or Diploma from the Institute of Packaging (IOP. Experience working in a FMCG category environment or in a packaging role. Artios CAD experience.
