Our client, a Tipperary based company currently have a vacancy for a Packaging Technologist . This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Packaging Technologist to join a hardworking environment with excellent opportunities for growth and personal development. You will project manage branded and own label pack changes and introductions. This will include all aspects of material development, trialling to ensure technical capability and ensuring that the final product is development within the defined NPD process. The role. Responsible for ensuring that the following processes and protocols are followed to ensure fit for purpose products on time: Accurate interpretation of project brief. Risk Assessment which drives the Project Plan with clear owners, actions, responsibilities and timelines. Follow New Material intro procedures. Regular interaction with Project stakeholders to ensure product is on track and any risks are mitigated. Ensure products meet customer & consumer requirements. Ensure that all processes are fully compliant. Build strong mutually successful relationships with suppliers. Maintain accurate records throughout the development process detailing product information and product evaluation notes. Ensure each material meets legislative, duty and manufacturing requirements. Guardian of product quality. Key contact for packaging queries. Ensure all material, product and process changes are managed via an effective change control process. Provide an excellent NPD service to all Internal and External customers. Accountable for handover of all NPD projects to manufacturing. Maintain detailed specifications for all new packaging items. Work with Master Data Controller to ensure that all relevant packaging related master data is collated and available. The person: Degree Qualified or equivalent e.g. Institute of Packaging Diploma or substantial experience in FMCG or packaging environment. Proven record in project management. Advanced IT Skills.
