Management Accountant – Waterford - Permanent Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, this position will be focused on weekly site operational performance reporting, monthly management reporting, financial planning, site financial controls and the on-going development of management reporting platforms. Key Responsibilities Support the weekly collation of critical operational performance metrics in partnership with production management. Focus on site manufacturing effectiveness versus target with regard to raw material mass balance, product yield, product composition and quality, in addition to the efficiency of resource consumption in relation to energy, packaging, ingredients and cleaning chemicals. Provide a weekly overview of site efficiency to the Senior Management Accountant, outlining key action areas and associated financial cost variances – ensuring full visibility of site operational performance for the Site Leadership Team. Partner with Production Management to fully develop both a robust reporting process and an effective measurement platform in relation to the above critical key performance indicators. Ensure an on-going and reliable flow of relevant plant performance information to key stakeholders. Partner with Process Management Team members to support a continuous improvement & lean manufacturing programme with the purpose of maintaining low cost manufacturing at the site. Own the overhead cost reporting process (actual month, budget and interim forecast). Engage with Cost Centre Managers to review performance versus plan to support the site cost control process. Support the Senior Management Accountant with regard to the preparation of the gross margin & associated variance analysis (actual month, budget and interim forecast. Support the Senior Management Accountant in the development of product costing platforms, with the objective to deliver accurate inventory valuation and effective commercial decision support, particularly in relation to Infant Formula products. Support the maintenance of robust site financial controls. Support general financial process elements as required. Role Requirements Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Management Accounting role within a large manufacturing organisation. Attention to detail & accuracy. Structured approach. Strong commercial / value-add acumen. Strong commitment and ability to meet tight deadlines. Challenging / engaging business partner, driven to deliver continuous improvement in a team environment. Strong communicator with good interpersonal and presentation skills.
