FACILITIES TECHNICIAN - WATERFORD. Our Client is looking to recruit a Facilities Technician who will report to the Facilities Engineer. Responsibilities of Position: Co-ordinate maintenance of the factory building and its surrounding premises, production plant service including preventive maintenance and upgrading of facility equipment and electrical services. Act as the point of contact for vendors and sales representatives for the Facilities Department. Liaise with in-house cleaning contractor on site and grounds maintenance, including management of records. Co-ordinate site maintenance activity compliance in conjunction with EHS dept. Monitoring and maintenance of cleanrooms and associated building management systems. Plan, co-ordinate and ensure all facilities works are compliant with required specifications, regulatory equirement, quality of work and safety standards. Support and assist the Technical Manager with day to day activities. Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of facilities operations in terms of cost, performance and efficiency. Data entry and monitoring of BMS system, QCBD system and other management systems in the plant. Day-to-day maintenance of the facility as required, including breakdown response and repairs to equipment. Spares & Consumables management. Supports all company safety and quality programs and initiatives. Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as needed, based on the evolution of the company and the requirements of the department/position. Skills/Attributes: In-depth knowledge of plant systems, preferably in medical device/pharmaceutical industry. Experience of working with a preventative maintenance system. Systematic troubleshooting/problem solving skills. Good communication skill and ability to work well on own initiative. Experience of compressed air, air handling, fire prevention, building management and industrial water systems. Ability to read P&ID's/schematics. Education/Training/Experience: Senior Trades Electrical essential. Degree in Engineering or related discipline advantageous. 5+ years’ experience in facilities or related role essential.
