My client a global pharmaceutical company has a vacancy for an Extractables and Leachables Specialist. The succesful individual will play a key role in the R&D group, reporting diectly to the R&D team manager. A strong background in organic chemistry with analytical experience in chromatography and mass spectrometry is required. Key duties include : The identification of control and trace-level organic compounds in packaging, and pharmaceuticals. Method validation experience of leachables, budget control and management of contractors. Attenion to detail in reviewing extrenal protocols / reports to ensure quality and regulatory standards. Participate in drug product technical team meetings, deliver project goals and build networks. Build a high performance team in the R&D area and review high quality submissions, documents and reports. Qualifications / experience : M.Sc. or B.Sc. with at least 5 years analytical experience in R&D or an academic environment. Excellent communication skills, and an ability to prioritise workloads. Strong leadership and management skills. Good problem solver. Working knowledge of statistics / mathematics is preferred.
