Description

Title: Facilities Technician (Days Role. Department: Engineering. Reports to: Facilities Engineer. Education/Training/Experience: • Senior Trade Electrical Essential. • Candidate must be fully qualified electrician (with a Senior Trade Cert. • Degree in Engineering or related discipline advantageous. • Experience of working in a medical device/pharmaceutical environment advantageous. Responsibilities of Position: • Co-ordinate maintenance of the factory building and its surrounding premises, production plant service including preventive maintenance and upgrading of facility equipment and electrical services. • Act as the point of contact for vendors and sales representatives for the Facilities Department. • Liaise with in-house cleaning contractor on site and grounds maintenance, including management of records. • Co-ordinate site maintenance activity compliance in conjunction with EHS dept. • Monitoring and maintenance of cleanrooms and associated building management systems. • Plan, co-ordinate and ensure all facilities works are compliant with required specifications, regulatory requirement, quality of work and safety standards. • Support and assist the Technical Manager with day to day activities. • Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of facilities operations in terms of cost, performance and efficiency. • Data entry and monitoring of BMS system, QCBD system and other management systems in the plant. • Day-to-day maintenance of the facility as required, including breakdown response and repairs to equipment. • Spares & Consumables management. • Supports all company safety and quality programs and initiatives. • Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as needed, based on the evolution of the company and the requirements of the department/position. Skills/Attributes: • In-depth knowledge of plant systems, preferably in medical device/pharmaceutical industry. • Experience of working with a preventative maintenance system. • Systematic troubleshooting/problem solving skills. • Good communication skill and ability to work well on own initiative. • Experience of compressed air, air handling, fire prevention, building management and industrial water systems. • Ability to read P&ID's/schematics.
