This role will be a pivotal support to the Communications Director Ireland and a key partner to general managers, leadership teams and HR in providing strategic communications support. Specifically, it will also be clearly aligned to the above country Pharma and Stiefel communications team, delivering a localised, aligned comms strategy for their business. Responsibilities. Internal communications: • Develop, drive, execute and measure a commercially aligned internal communications and engagement strategy and plan to support the business as well as ‘owning’ the communications channels for internal use. • Work with HR to advise and develop communications strategies in support of engagement. • Engage employees in the business strategy and success, demonstrating progress against the strategy and sharing success stories with global internal audiences. • Strengthen the internal communications function, creating and maintaining channels and processes. • Work with Communications Director to develop a One GSK Ireland identity, identifying communications opportunities and integrating the PH and Stiefel businesses within same. • Design a comms programme to support stiefel integration to GSK that drives engagements, creates strong brand identify and embeds wows and values. External Communications: • Coordinate local media queries. • Provide communications support to leadership teams to help drive key commercial and reputational strategies. • Support the Communications Director in creating and delivering an external media plan for Stiefel and PH business, aligned to GSK Ireland communications strategy. • Support the Communications Director to develop Stiefel and PH media narratives for GMs. • Lead and deliver the Irish Medical Media Awards. • Provide strategic product PR counsel and support. • Build and establish relationships with local stakeholders including educational, government and media representatives. Anticipation and proactive preparation for communications issues and triggers is fundamental to the role as is the ability to search out, identify and maximize internal and readership of positive news and stories which support the business strategies. Basic Experience. Experienced (minimum 5-7 years) communications professional (in-house or agency) with sound communications experience including internal communications and engagement - capable of influencing senior level communications and commercial management. Proven track record of developing and implementing impactful communications strategies. Extensive experience in communicating business information simply, in support of key commercial messages.
