Description

Manufacturing Engineer. Purpose of the Job: To maximise equipment capabilities and efficiencies using Lean principles. To solve problems that impact on equipment performance in a compliant and effective manner. To support New Product Introduction developing processes into efficient manufacturing processes. Low-cost manufacturing: To implement process improvements to resolve problems which are adversely affecting manufacturing performance. To analyse machine performance and downtime to implement corrective actions to meet efficiency targets. To identify and implement cost improvement proposals to improve equipment capabilities in terms of quality and unit cost. Customer Service: To implement effective corrective actions to eliminate customer complaints. To ensure all equipment is operating at the highest standard to ensure customer service commitments are achieved and exceeded. To respond effectively to requests of all internal customers and to communicate effectively within the Engineering group team environment. Compliance: To ensure that all relevant documentation reflects current regulatory standards. To ensure that all work carried out is in Compliance with the required standards conforming to company, cGMP, cGXP’s, and EHS guidelines. To ensure equipment operating in ATEX areas meets the required specification. Business strategy and performance : To support the introduction and development of all new technologies. Interface with R&D to support and develop processes from pilot scale to commercial. The successful candidate will be expected to possess the following: Education/Experience: Primary Degree in Engineering/Science discipline. Min 3-5 years pharmaceutical industry experience. Knowledge Micro dosing/filling technologies for Dry Powder formulations. Blister strip filling & sealing. Dry Powder Blending for Inhalations. Powder handling & Containment systems. Pharmaceutical water systems. Equipment & Computer System Qualification principles. FDA Quality Systems. Skills: Computer literacy. Technical Report Writing. Effective Problem Solving.
