The Job Suite are currently recruiting a Fresh Food Manager for our client based in Waterford. We are looking for an experienced fresh food manager to drive the sales in this department and bring innovation to the department to develop new product lines to keep up to date with current trends. Job Description. Maximisation of sales and margin opportunity for the Fresh Food counters through the use of sales and other financial information as appropriate. Identify potential new product lines and keep up to date with current trends. Work closely with the General Manager to drive sales in the fresh food department. Plan and forecast orders correctly at all times during the trading year in line with store requirements (with particular attention at seasonal times. Co-ordinate the ordering for the fresh food categories and ensure that fresh orders deadlines are adhered to using the technologies and processes available. Ensure appropriate fresh food stock replenishment, optimum stock levels and range on a consistent basis. Ensure that merchandising and presentation of the fresh food counter areas is of the highest standard at all times to aid maximisation of sales. Drive sales through customer initiatives and staff knowledge. Enhance product knowledge. Ensure that promotional activity is managed effectively for the fresh counter departments including: ordering, merchandising, maximising margin and reporting on the value add of the promotion. Ensure that fresh waste and reductions are in accordance with budgets and policy. Ensure that fresh stockloss is managed in line with policy and implement new initiatives to improve stockloss. Ensure that the food safety system is in place, is operated to at all times and that hygiene standards are to the highest standards at all times within the fresh food counter areas. I track store performance and update store reports with Key Performance Indicators for my departments and provide up to date management information and analysis on a weekly basis. Report to the General Store Manager. Ideal Candidate. Previous experience in a similar managerial role. Customer service and complaint handling experience.
