Essential Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Knowledge: Registered with the NMBI and in possession of a third level qualification or relevant professional qualification. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in senior nursing management at DON, ADON or CNM3 level. Strategic leadership and people management skills and experience. Demonstrable experience of the HIQA Inspection process and completion and monitoring of Action Plans to acceptance by HIQA. Knowledge and awareness of the National Standards for Residential Services for the elderly. Knowledge of current policy and developments in the care of the elderly sector. Experience in the carrying out of audits. Experience in the delivery of training. Strong communication skills (both verbal and written), able to effectively communicate at all levels and strong report writing skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships internally and externally. Strong computer skills.
