Hartley People Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Senior Commodity Manager for our client, a well-established manufacturing company based in Dublin and Waterford. This is a full time and permanent position and is an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a well-established company with good developmental and promotional opportunities. The role: Establish vendor approval. Managing CCA Contract Manufacturers at global locations. Approve & maintain third-party contract manufacturer lists. Drive quality control requirements for the business. Obtain consolidated demand forecasts from the planning department and provide to suppliers. Negotiate, approve & execute supply contracts on behalf of the company. Reduce costs by leveraging buying-power across the business. Provide suppliers with rolling monthly forecasts (as may be necessary. Support supplier delivery issues on behalf of the business. Review, approve, monitor and drive corrective action, in conjunction with Quality Leader and SQEs, as necessary to contract manufacturer. In conjunction with Quality Leader and SQEs, ensure third-party contract manufacturers comply with other quality provisions (ROHS, ESD, MS, packaging, workmanship, aging, storage, receiving and inspection. Support development and implementation of plans to meet annual goals and targets. Deploy processes that are consistent with the commodity strategy by teaming with other Global Sourcing personnel. Support the process to identify and select approved suppliers representing the business. The person: Bachelor’s (or equivalent third level qualification) in engineering, business or operations or related field. Strategic sourcing or related functions. Experience managing CCA Contract Manufacturers at global locations (or similar experience. Experience in multi-site operations. Advanced skills utilizing Excel for data analysis and management. Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP. Global experience in Strategic Sourcing and Procurement. Master's degree preferred. CIPS, APICs and/or CPM or equivalent certification desired.
