Manufacturing Quality Manager - County Waterford. In this role you will have responsibility for ensuring that the Manufacturing Quality System requirements are effectively established and effectively and efficiently maintained in accordance with the Quality System and all relevant external Regulations and Standards. Duties & responsibilities include: Development & implementation of a quality management system to embed quality into the manufacturing processes from design through to ongoing customer service & supply. Oversight of the manufacturing processes and ensuring systems are in place to prevent the release to stock of product not meeting all specifications. Partner with operations, engineering and other functions to identify and implement continuous improvement activities focusing on improving quality and reducing costs. Management of a diverse team of quality engineers, technicians, quality release personnel & validation quality engineers to support multiple different products and manufacturing platforms. To oversee the management of non-conforming product and ensure the effective resolution of Quality issues through the NC & CAPA process. To apply both a Lean and Six Sigma approach for improvements to the Manufacturing Quality Systems. To oversee Product Quality that meets finished product specifications. Drive quality improvement initiatives in combination with Engineering, Process Engineering and Operations. Manage a team of quality personnel to adequately support the changing manufacturing platforms and product manufacture to ensure key cGMP responsibilities are adhered to. Interested applicants should have: • Third level qualification, ideally in Engineering, Science or Software. • Management experience essential. • At least 5 years’ experience in Healthcare or Electronics industry. • Strong analytical skills with good knowledge of applied statistics and control systems. • Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean tools. • Self-motivated with ability to lead a core team to meet the above objective. • Must be familiar with the regulatory requirements of the FDA and/or ISO. • Decisive, good communicator, self-motivated, have record of achievement and be a good team member.
