Description

Production Manager - County Waterford. In this role you will work as part of the manufacturing management team by directing, managing and co-ordinating all activities associated with Manufacturing Management. Duties & responsibilities include: Managing and co-ordinating departmental activities. Providing a high level of technical competence and leadership to ensure any operational issues are identified and managed. Promotion of decision making through effective development and fostering of a strong team working culture. Initiating changes to work practices and procedures through the use of lean concepts. Promotion of a quality culture ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements including FDA and cGMP. Conducting and managing performance appraisals and identifying and implementing appropriate training & development plans. EEnsuring an Effective communications strategy within the unit and to other departments within the company. Reviewing performance, and identifying areas for improvement and taking corrective action when required. Planning and management of team members’ attendance, timekeeping and overtime through the use and management of the HR systems. Establishing and maintaining high standards in relation to Environmental Health & Safety work practices. Interface with Engineering and Programme Management to coordinate the production process for the introduction of new products and process improvements. Support change management initiatives in a complex organisation - keeping and driving focus whilst managing complexities. Build strategic partnerships to further departmental and organisational objectives. Create a highly talented team and champion a positive employee environment by promoting open communication, engagement and development of team members. Promote a culture of inclusiveness, trust, flexibility and teamwork. Promote & Engage Lean Manufacturing & Visual Management. Interested applicants should have: • At least 5 years manufacturing experience, preferably at production management level or similar, within a team-based manufacturing environment (Medical Device background desirable but not essential. • Degree in Business, Technical or Science related discipline desirable but not essential. • A knowledge of Distillation, and Chemical mixing operation is desirable but not essential. • Proven track record and genuine interest in successfully creating and managing a highly talented, engaged and performing team. • Strong knowledge of GMP / FDA regulatory requirements, housekeeping, health and safety. • Strong knowledge of validation and ability to oversee and direct validation activities. • Excellent presentation and communication skills are required. • Individual must be challenged by a team-based environment, which places high degree of emphasis on accountability for service levels, quality, standard cost and expense control and quality/GMP compliance. • Demonstrated efficient work methods, analytical & problem solving skills, process improvement orientation, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, aggressively results-oriented environment. • An excellent team player that can leverage the abilities of all personnel working within their team.
