Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories is currently recruiting for a Metrology Engineer for our Laboratory based in Dungarvan Co Waterford. The primary purpose of this role is to execute the Metrology schedule and Metrology helpdesk activity required to support the Operations function at ELL, operating at the highest quality and productivity standards, ensuring agreed internal client requirements are entirely satisfied and that client expectations are met or exceeded. This person will be a key point of contact for all Metrology activities on a day-to-day basis, including external audits. Job Responsibilities. Effectively execute the Metrology activities so that productivity, quality, documentation, work schedules, safety and housekeeping are run at maximum efficiency.Ensuring that the internal client gets the best possible service by continually reviewing best practice in relation to both commercial and quality issues and ensuring 100% ethical work standards and GMP complianceAs member of the day-to-day Metrology system and metrology procedures driving continuous Improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and turnaround times while maintaining compliance.Ensure that vendor contract management is up to date and is relevant for current and planned business needs for operations.Communicating regularly with other departments and internal clients to ensure information is shared effectively and actions are taken immediately.Ensure Exceptions, internal audit observations, external audit observation, change control, CSV and SOP periodic review are performed by you and direct reports on time along with associated CAPAsContinuous feedback to direct reports on all items in relation to internal client or organisational requirements / changes.Ensuring equipment is properly maintained and in the event of a breakdown that it is repaired in accordance with procedures (with reference to timeliness, quality and cost.)Address local audit findings and work with fellow QA colleagues to resolve.Participate as required in any investigations associated with the team deliverables.GMP review Metrology data.Initiate and follow-up on any Metrology related exceptions.To have a clear understanding of the internal and external client relationship and service goals.Manage all relationships with vendors from maintenance, qualification and a troubleshooting point of view.Contribute to Development IQ, QQ, PQ protocols for the laboratory equipment, instrumentation and laboratory computerised systems as required.Reviewing and approving all relevant documentation in a timely manner and ensuring that it communicated, documented, filed accurately, and compliant with the required standards. Experience/Qualifications. BSc in computer science, chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology or engineeringAt least 2 years' experience in a pharmaceutical industry GMP laboratoryGood team player, organised, accurate, have strong documentation skillsPassionate about quality and client serviceGood communication skills both internally and externallyChromatography execution and data review experience essential Experience of Thermal Mapping is desirable 39 hour working week Mon-Fri.
