Our client, an industry leader who specialise in efficient document services, is currently seeking a Project Manager to join their team. The role: Join an existing team of experienced translation Project Managers, and help us to expand our team further. Take ownership of translation/localisation projects from start to finish. Examine each project, and give our sales team/clients guidance of the requirements, and issue quotes where necessary. Use available technology tools (particularly Trados Studio 2014) and initiative to offer our clients the highest quality, best value solution available. Assign the work to an appropriate member of our translator team, or multiple translators where necessary. Be the central contact point and co-ordinator for large projects, all the while managing the costs and ensuring client requirements are of the highest priority, that expectations are managed and high standards are met. Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, translators, and reviewers. Deal effectively and professionally with any issues that may arise while your projects are ongoing. Plan ahead and work with translator recruitment team to ensure current and future capacity requirements are met. Provide guidance to sales teams and clients, and be the source of knowledge and information for internal and external contacts for the localisation service at Ubiqus. Take initiative in improving processes and keep up to date on industry developments, technological advances etc. The person: Fluent spoken and written English and French is essential. Must have previous experience in the Translation Industry. Project Manager experience (ideally 18+ months) in the Translation/Localisation industry would be ideal. Third-level qualification in related discipline such as translation studies or languages ideal. Possibly suitable for a recent graduate of a Translation-related discipline, with some translation industry experience, who can display maturity and the ability to learn and grow within the role. Strong IT skills: MS Office suite, web research, and knowledge of Translation software / CAT tools is very important. Experience using DTP tools such as InDesign would also be beneficial. Ability to work well under pressure, and be a team player.
