A leading Medical Device company in Waterford has a vacancy for a Quality Technician to coordinate their Quality process. Working closely with the wider QA group you will be responsible for handling customer complaints, analysing causes and working with Manufacturing to resolve issues and implement robust corrective and preventative actions. Responsibilities: Assist the QA Group in establishing, implementing and maintaining the Quality System. Promotes compliance excellence within the company to customer requirements and applicable regulations: ISO13485 & ISO9001. Summarise, analyze and in conjunction with the cross function team draws conclusions and makes appropriate decisions from test results or other process related findings. Actively participate in definition of test requirements, justification of acceptance limits and sampling plans to assure compliance with requirements through use of statistical tools. Define & implement Quality Standards and specifications and helps to ensure that regulatory requirements are met. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions in a timely manner. Analyze failure, corrective and preventative actions. Continually seek to drive improvements in product and process quality. Support the quality management system to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant product specifications. Create and maintain company quality documentation. Perform product and process evaluations to identify areas for improvement. Provide solutions to identified problems. Implement approved changes using sound quality engineering principles and fully document requirements on a timely basis. Work closely with Manufacturing Operations to Identify and resolve production and quality system deficiencies. Generate QA reports documenting risk assessments, investigations, etc. Co-ordinate customer complaints handing within department. Skillset Required: Degree in a Science related discipline. 2+ Years Experience in a Quality Technician role within a production/operations environment preferable medical device. Good understanding of regulatory requirements for medical devices. Experience in risk management, including key terms and definitions, modeling, systems design, assessment tools, and reporting. 6 Sigma Green Belt Experience preferable. Have a fundamental understanding of quality philosophies, principles, systems, methods, tools, standards, organizational and team dynamics, customer expectations and satisfaction, supplier relations and performance, leadership, training, interpersonal relationships, improvement systems, and professional ethics. Ability to develop and implement quality programs, including tracking, analyzing, reporting, and problem solving. Good understanding of problem-solving and quality improvement tools and techniques. Ability to coordinate multiple projects, set direction and drives innovation and change. Excellent written and oral communications. Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
