Training & Development Manager. Waterford. Job Purpose: Working as part of the HR team you will be responsible for the set up, development and implementation of a company-wide training and development strategy, in line with business and operational requirements. Responsibilities. 1.Establish & maintain annual company training and development strategy. 2.Identify training and development needs company-wide by conducting learning needs analysis, ensure that the required programmes are implemented and evaluated for effectiveness. Ensure the learning needs analysis reflects the site’s strategy. 3.Ownership of GMP Training (reference, Chapter 2 of Eudralex). Ensure that the training system is effective, efficient, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. 4.Lead relevant strategic initiatives for the site (e.g. in relation to people development, technical upskilling, building other critical competencies. 5.Set up and lead the graduate development program(s); provide support to graduates and managers as required. 6.Manage the site training budget. Coordinate the further education assistance program. 7.Support managers and individuals by providing information, advice and resources in order to promote a high performing organisation. This includes design and delivery of customized training plans for new and existing employees. Support managers in development of meaningful development plans for employees. 8.To oversee, review and revise existing training materials to ensure they meet industry best practices and internal requirements. 9.To complete regular reviews of all training programmes and produce regular performance reports, to collate statistics and provide a coordinated analysis of the impact of training. 10.Record and issue certificates / training records to participants who have completed training. 11.To assist in the preparation for customer / regulatory inspections to ensure efficient and accurate document retrieval. 12.To ensure that all work carried out is in compliance with the required standards conforming to company, cGMP, cGLP, SOP’s, regulatory regulations and guidelines, safety and environmental guidelines. 13.Participate as part of Area Management team. 14.Health & Safety. a)Ensure requirements of company safety statement are implemented. b)Continuously promote a positive safety culture by leading by example. 15.Compliance: a)Ensure all work carried out is in compliance with the required standards, conforming to company, cGMP, cGLP, SOP’s, regulatory guidelines, safety and environmental standards. b)Work to maintain site training completion levels (> than 90%) Minimum Qualifications & Experience. • At least 5 years previous experience in a training & development function within a pharma/manufacturing/R&D environment. • A third level education in Life Sciences/Training. •Experience in developing and running in house training programs. •Expert knowledge of principles and methods for design and delivery of training material. •Presentation skills. •Training evaluation skills. •Project Management skills. •Good organizational and interpersonal skills will be required. •Excellent communication and presentation skills. •Ability to define and manage own tasks and schedules.
