Waterford. This post will suit a Competent, experienced Nurse who has a solid background in management. Home description: The Nursing Unit is well established within its community and is run by an experienced team of management, nurses, care staff etc all of whom are dedicated and committed to providing a superior standard of care. Their carefully chosen team are experienced, professionally qualified and undergo continuous training. They respect their residents` right to dignity, individuality, religious beliefs, independence, privacy and the choice to participate in individual or communal in-house activities. Responsibilities: As Director of Nursing you will be responsible for all the staff supervision, training and development, clinical practice, auditing and budgeting. This post will be left open for a creative, innovative Nurse Manager who has genuine passion for Aged Care. Requirements: • Registered Nurse under the General Division of NMBI. • Must have a minimum of 3 years in Aged Care of the recent 6 years. • Essential to have a robust knowledge and understanding of the HIQA standards and regulations. • Strong background in Dementia Care essential. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. • A strong Team leader and competent in staff management and training. • Evidence of Continuous Career Progression is essential. • Evidence of excellent teamwork, organizational and leadership skills essential.
