Communications Manager. Job Description Communications Manager required by CareerWise Recruitment for our Waterford based pharmaceutical client. THE ROLE: Reporting to the Communications Director you will provide essential support to the Site Directors and Site Leadership Teams in providing strategic communication support. Support the Communications Director in leveraging the individual site roles in external communications to help drive a proactive positive external reputation for the Company in Ireland. Develop, drive, execute and measure a commercially aligned internal communications and engagement strategy that builds employee understanding of, and belief in, the strategies for the Site. Build employee engagement with the vision, values and principles of the Company and help bring that to life for employees. Local co-ordination of media stories and responding to queries, including preparing press releases and acting as a spokesperson for the Site, when appropriate. Build relationships with local media. Support the Communications Director in creating and delivering a local profile media campaign. Co-ordinate and lead local CR site initiatives (e.g. Volunteer Day, local Community Support activities, sustainability initiatives. Development of productive relationships with key stakeholders, internally and externally. REQUIREMENTS: Qualification in communications or a related discipline desirable. Experienced (minimum 5 years) communications professional (in-house or agency) with sound communications experience including internal engagement and external commnications - capable of influencing senior level communications and commercial management. Proven track record of developing and implementing impactful communications strategies. Extensive experience in communicating business information simply, in support of key commercial messages. Experience of issues management.
