Title: Quality Control Officer. Location: Waterford. Salary: €40k to €50K depending on experience. Status: Full Time Permanent. Experience: 3+ years experience (ideally in Food or Pharma. Contact: Hartley People Recruitment (Brenda Duffy. Our client a leader in their field, currently have a vacnacy for a Quality Control Officer for their facility based in Waterford. The Person: 3rd level qualification in Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology or equivalent. A minimum of 3 years’ experience of Quality Control in a Food, Biotechnology or Pharmaceutical manufacturing operation. Strong Instrumentation capability. Understanding of validation requirements for Quality Control activities. Skilled in problem solving tools to respond to statistical trends and improve analytical performance. Experienced and knowledgeable around HACCP, change control and corrective action preventative action. Strong technical and documentation skills required. Organized and methodical in approach to work with high attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills. Experience in the delivery of the highest standards of analytical accuracy. The Role: Manage the Quality Control Plan for sampling and testing of raw materials, in-process, finished product and utilities; ensuring testing is performed in accordance with cGMP and GLP. Manage testing plans based on customer and regulatory requirements and set up system master plans. Develop and conduct testing programs to assess policies, procedures and controls’ standards and compliance. Develop, implement and monitor control standards and statistical process control regimes related to analysis in order to assure quality results consistency and accuracy. Ensure Quality Control data and documentation is completed and maintained robustly. Ensure constant inspection readiness status by engaging actively with all key departments and ensure corrective and preventative actions related to quality control are in place and addressed in a timely manner. Monitor 3rd party contract and internal analysis providers against service level agreement commitments. Identify and lead best practice for maintenance, calibration, trouble-shooting and support of in-process and near line instrumentation. Oversee accreditation regime for analysis assuring analytical accuracy and delivery of customer requirements. Develop, implement and manage near line analysis training and capability confirmation. Ensure timely delivery of appropriate trending information to production and support personnel. Support CI, HACCP, Problem Solving, CAPA, change management, complaint response activity. Develop and implement set up, qualification and validation of on-line testing and support validation and qualification of manufacturing operation.
